The first day of the rest of your life

Once again, I've come to a turning point.  Today I decided not to take the road to Michigan, but to continue on the road I was already on at home.  The days are going to get exciting.  Plans are being made.  People are being contacted.  I'm listening to jazz music, cooking meals, starting a compost pile, watching movies with my parents, and am glad about it all.  I'm scheduling times to work at the lab, throw pots, develop film in the darkroom, and to volunteer at the urban gardens in Columbia and with Habitat for Humanity.  This is it.  My chance to do it all.  I'm pumped.  I have no control over my life, how my life affects others, or the purpose of me being where I am.  I'm excited to see what happens.

I was talking to my best friends last night and a very profound statement came across our conversation: We spend most of every day thinking about past days and worrying about future days while wasting the day that's at hand.  This is not good.  Be present.  The past made us who we are today, so don't worry about it.  The present will determine the future, so pay attention today!

SNOW DAY!!!

This is the second snow day mizzou has called in the past 30ish years!!!!!!

This is going to be epic- a day full of brunch, white wine, board games, movies, and roommates!  bring on the snow!
